I never want to eat a big meal after I workout (I usually don’t have an appetite at all), but this always appeals to me after a long run. It is the perfect thing to sip on right after you finish your workout and then in the car on the way to work, and a perfect way to tide you over until you can eat a meal. I started drinking this delish smoothie after every workout for the past few months, and I have seriously noticed more muscle definition and a better recovery as well. Bonus: there are only 3 ingredients (and they’re cheap), and you probably already have them in your kitchen.

It was a chilly day here in So Cal (nothing compared to my East Coaster’s fight with Nemo), and I was in the mood to make a hearty soup. I’ve made curry before from various recipes, so I used what I had stored in my brain’s recipe book to come up with this soup. I think you’ll find it both spicy and sweet, plus it is chocked full of delicious cauliflower (healthy veggie) and chickpeas (filling protein). This is a great soup to make after a day of shoveling!
My husband said not to do another post on spaghetti squash (“it’s too soon!”), so I am posting out of rebellion (“I’m an independent woman!”) and because I have leftover spaghetti squash from my recipe for Roasted Veggies and Chicken Sausage Over Spaghetti Squash. I don’t always love squash. Oftentimes it can taste like a basement (or to Californians, a garage? We don’t have basements), and have little texture. I think you will find this take on spaghetti squash very flavorful and fresh, and a “go-to” recipe for a healthy side.
